The St Monans Community Arts Festival<\/strong> is fast approaching – it’s the first weekend in September. But the fun starts a week earlier, with a Festival Ceilidh<\/strong> in the Town Hall<\/strong> on Saturday 26th August.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event features one of Scotland’s premier Ceilidh bands, the Fife Strathspey & Reel Society<\/strong>. FSRS have a long history, including as recording artists. They are all great musicians, but better still, they know how to get people dancing …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c I went to the last ceilidh they did and they were great fun. The music was good traditional Scottish but the best bit for me was the caller. She was so encouraging and so good at explaining and helping people. Most of the dances were new to a lot of people, but thanks to her, we all had a brilliant time! \u201c<\/strong>
