But the fun starts a week earlier, with a Festival Ceilidh in the Town Hall on Saturday 26th August.

The event features one of Scotland’s premier Ceilidh bands, the Fife Strathspey & Reel Society. FSRS have a long history, including as recording artists. They are all great musicians, but better still, they know how to get people dancing …

“ I went to the last ceilidh they did and they were great fun. The music was good traditional Scottish but the best bit for me was the caller. She was so encouraging and so good at explaining and helping people. Most of the dances were new to a lot of people, but thanks to her, we all had a brilliant time! “
– Helen Marshall

Tickets are £8, available in advance from Alison Child – 730125 / 07712 669162 or Ruth Craib – 730341 / 07739 486416.
