Last Minutes<br \/>\nand Matters Arising<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2.1 (4.1) Following contact from John Oakes and Barbara<br \/>\nSolway, a working group will meet with John Oakes to discuss possible funding<br \/>\nsources for harbour regeneration.<\/p>\n<p>2.2( 4.3)Following communication from Harry Byers,a<br \/>\nmeeting with the Area Supervisor to discuss cleaning issues in the village is<br \/>\nto be arranged by R.Craib.<\/p>\n<p>2.3 ( 4.4) The owner of the privately owned house next<br \/>\ndoor to where FC reroofed a property has said that he feels it is too late for<br \/>\nany action. He would have appreciated being asked by FC first if he may have<br \/>\nbeen prepared to share the cost of reroofing both roofs together before work<br \/>\nstarted.<\/p>\n<p>2.4 (9.1) G.Brown met with Liz Murphy to discuss problems<br \/>\nin the cemetery. After his report and\u00a0 CC<br \/>\ndiscussion, CC voted by a majority to support plan to remove shed, erect a<br \/>\nfence to mask soil pile and arrange the installation of a bench. The CC will<br \/>\nascertain if someone may wish to sponsor a bench as a memorial. If no one<br \/>\nwishes to do this then the CC will fund a new bench.<\/p>\n<p>2.5 ( 9.2) E Hughes reported that drainage work has<br \/>\nresumed on the east braes area which will hopefully lead to an improvement in<br \/>\nits condition.<\/p>\n<p>2.6 ( 10.3) R.Craib has received confirmation that repair<br \/>\nwork on the Queen Margaret Street garages( south end) should be complete by the<br \/>\nend of June.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Proposer<br \/>\nSeconder<\/p>\n<p>V.Bland<br \/>\nV.Salvage<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>None this month.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.Chairperson<br \/>\nReport<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A.Anderson commented on the success of the recent beach<br \/>\nclean and thanked all those involved for their support despite potentially<br \/>\ninclement weather. Particular thanks to John Thompson for his help with<br \/>\ntractor.<\/p>\n<p>Dog bins are being ordered for various sites in the<br \/>\nvillage and by the bathing pool and windmill.<\/p>\n<p>The application to CARELS concerning funding for wind<br \/>\nturbine project has been accepted meaning that the next stage of suitability<br \/>\ntesting \u00a0can proceed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.Secretary Report<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Information received on \u201cCashback for<br \/>\nCommunities\u201d funding scheme.<\/li>\n<li> Notification that HALCROW has been commissioned<br \/>\nby FC to carry out an independent review of taxis across Fife. Our CC had no<br \/>\ncomment to make.<\/li>\n<li> Notification that AGM of East Neuk First<br \/>\nResponders is on 30<sup>th<\/sup> June at 7.30pm in Craws Nest Hotel,Anstruther.<\/li>\n<li> TAYPLAN information received. A.Anderson to<br \/>\nattend drop in meeting in St Andrews on 21<sup>st<\/sup> June.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.Treasuer Report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The annual audited accounts were circulated and accepted.<\/p>\n<p>It was agreed that there are sufficient funds to purchase<br \/>\na new bench and a few bins.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.Public Questions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>7.1 Following a query about the whereabouts of a flower<br \/>\ntub, it was explained tat some are presently at Pathead awaiting filling.<\/p>\n<p>7.2 Concern was raised about the road between the end of<br \/>\nthe Colinsburgh Straight and the Sawmill corner, especially considering the<br \/>\nnumber of accidents there in recent times ( some 17). Cllr Scott Hayward to<br \/>\nfollow up, stressing it is a matter of public safety.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>8.AOCB<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>8.1 M.Ashworth expressed concern that , with growth being<br \/>\nearly this year, verges are overgrown and causing a hazard. She will contact<br \/>\ntransportation.<\/p>\n<p>8.2 V.Salvage had received a suggestion from an ex<br \/>\nresident living in Canada that we could perhaps purchase, renovate and display<br \/>\nan ex Miller boat on the site of the boat shed. Although the suggestion was<br \/>\ndiscussed and would have been an attractive idea, it was unfortunately decided<br \/>\nthat the costs for such a project would be prohibitive. A suggestion for<br \/>\ninformation boards on the past industry was made and this will be investigated.<\/p>\n<p>8.3 Congratulations were offered to W.Buchan on receiving<br \/>\nan award nomination for his work with the bowling club.<\/p>\n<p>8.4 T.Hughes reported about lack of progress over resolution<br \/>\nof defects needing repaired in the football pavilion.
