Mr Oakes is currently finding out about \u00a0funding possibilities.<\/p>\n<p>2.2(2.2)<br \/>\nR.Craib and V.Salvage will be meeting on Saturday 25<sup>th<\/sup> June with<br \/>\nSean Kenyon and Cllr Ross Vettraino to discuss street cleaning issues and<br \/>\nprogress of refurbishment of public toilets.<\/p>\n<p>2.3 ( 2.4)<br \/>\nR.Craib has been in regular communication with Liz Murphy of Bereavement<br \/>\nServices about various issues in the cemetery. She is going to organise the<br \/>\nremoval of the shed and Property Services have been to measure up for a fence<br \/>\nto surround the soil dump. She is also going to investigate possible repairs to<br \/>\nsinking graves. This work is normally carried out in the winter to avoid new<br \/>\nturfs drying out, but particularly bad areas could be repaired sooner. R.Craib<br \/>\nexpressed her appreciation for the helpfulness from Liz Murphy in her responses<br \/>\nto issues brought to her attention.<\/p>\n<p>2.4(2.6) Repair<br \/>\nwork has been carried out to the surface in Queen Margaret Garages ( south end)<\/p>\n<p>2.5 From older<br \/>\nminutes, Heritage Collection items which had been stored in WRVS premises in<br \/>\nStation Road, have now been transferred temporarily to the Preservation Society<br \/>\npremises. They will be sorted through before longer- term\u00a0 accommodation is found.<\/p>\n<p>2.6 (7.2)<br \/>\nM.Ashworth reported that she believes discussions have been ongoing re road<br \/>\nproblems in the Abercrombie area between police and FC.<\/p>\n<p>2.7 (8.4)<br \/>\nProgress seems to be now being made over correcting snags in pavilion and an annual<br \/>\nrent of \u00a3200 for premises has been agreed.<\/p>\n<p>2.8(2.5)<br \/>\nE.Hughes reported that the drainage work at end of Rose Street is continuing<br \/>\nbut very slowly. Both detected.<\/p>\n<p>3 vandalism.<br \/>\nUndetected<\/p>\n<p>3 thefts.<br \/>\nUndetected.<\/p>\n<p>2 assaults. 1<br \/>\ndetected.<\/p>\n<p>4 drug<br \/>\noffences.<\/p>\n<p>Speed sign has<br \/>\nnow been installed at start of village. Camera van will visit in June.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.Secretary\u2019s Report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Information was<br \/>\nreceived about the Community Space Fund from the Big Lotto. It would appear<br \/>\nthat we are not eligible to apply in St Monans but Cllr Macgregor to ask for<br \/>\nfurther clarification.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Accounts<br \/>\nissued. The CC is financially in good order at present.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The application<br \/>\nfor building houses behind the Industrial Estate has been refused.<\/p>\n<p>An application<br \/>\nto erect a carport at 5A Braehead has been made. No plans available on line as<br \/>\nyet. Once plans can be viewed CC will discuss further.<\/p>\n<p>G.Brown asked<br \/>\nCllr Macgregor to enquire if the planning website could be updated more<br \/>\nquickly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.Public Questions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>None<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>8.AOCB<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>8.1 Questions<br \/>\non progress to remove rubble from harbour slip were asked. Cllr Macgregor to<br \/>\nask<\/p>\n<p>M. Gibson and<br \/>\nJ.Macrae about progress on removal.<\/p>\n<p>8.2 Concerns<br \/>\nwere raised about the condition of the wall between Station Road and Braehead<br \/>\nwhere cracks\u00a0 have reappeared and<br \/>\nstonework is falling out. R.Craib to contact G.Mietzis re health and safety<br \/>\nconcerns.<\/p>\n<p>8.3 A.Anderson<br \/>\ninformed CC that CAREL loan has been approved for the purchase of the anemometer<br \/>\nto test wind power on possible wind turbine site. The application will now be<br \/>\nforwarded to the Scottish Government.<\/p>\n<p>8.4 W.Brown<br \/>\nwrote to CC to ask if the CC would decide on whether we would run another<br \/>\nplanted container competition as well as ,perhaps, a best visible garden<br \/>\ncompetition. CC agreed that this was a good idea. All gardens\/containers would<br \/>\nbe automatically entered.<\/p>\n<p>It was also<br \/>\nsuggested that there could be a best back\/hidden garden competition which would<br \/>\nrequire an application form to be completed. This was also agreed on. V.Salvage<br \/>\nto contact W.Brown on publicity.<\/p>\n<p>Progress was<br \/>\ngiven on boat and tub planting in village.
