\u201cSince the programme was launched and publicised through the East Fife Mail, there has been a lot of interest shown in the festival. We are getting thousands of views on our website and Facebook page, and more artists have been approaching us looking to take part,\u201d said committee member Ann Watson.<\/div>\n

\u201cWhile our own exhibition space is fully booked, if artists have somewhere in the village to exhibit their work, we are happy to add them and publicise the details of additional open houses online. We’ll also be posting more information and updates about the festival’s events, workshops and performers.\u201d<\/div>\n

The festival features prominent artists such as George Birrell, who will demonstrate his artistic techniques at two workshops.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cGeorge is famous for his interpretations of the East Neuk villages, buildings and harbours. He has lectured in art, design and photography and exhibited his works at many galleries in Fife, Scotland and abroad. We are delighted that someone of his calibre is taking part in our festival. Demand for his workshops is likely to be high, so anyone who wants to attend should book in advance.<\/div>\n

\u201cWe also have a fantastic range of art and craft on display, with more artists and open houses than ever before. The Open Houses will give people a chance to meet local artists and discuss their work with them, and perhaps be tempted to buy something \u2013 but remember that the festival is great value whatever, because all events and workshops are free, and everyone can come along and take part.\u201d<\/div>\n
