Our Hosts served delicacies from all over the world; from <strong>Hungary<\/strong><strong>, France, Greece, South India, Japan, Mexico, Egypt and Russia<\/strong>. There were dishes from <strong>Canada<\/strong><strong>, Australia and New Zealand<\/strong> on the <strong>New World Tables<\/strong> and closer to home, &nbsp;<strong>Scotland and Ireland<\/strong> were represented with great flair. There were also 3 \u2018specialist&#8217; tables&#8230;.. <strong>A Harbour Howff Caf\u00e9 table<\/strong> <strong>with \u2018Food from Here and There&#8217;<\/strong>; an <strong>American Vegetarian table<\/strong> AND a superb \u2018<strong>Puddings from Around the World table&#8217;<\/strong>. The Puddings table was so popular there was nearly always a queue there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>One Host returned to the East Neuk from Russia just two days before the Food Fest bringing even more ideas, recipes and inspiration to her Russian Table. We also tasted unusual Polynesian and Maori dishes from New Zealand for the first time this year.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/stmonans.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/201x\/iff09a13-lisapete.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"228\" width=\"300\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/stmonans.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/201x\/iff09a13-lisapete.jpg?resize=300%2C228&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-456\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Sea Queen Lisa Fleming with Pete Marr<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Our present Sea Queen, Lisa Fleming, helped to sell the tickets and raffle tickets at the door &#8211; and drew the raffle with Pete Marr of the Post Office. Generously-donated raffle prizes, including a framed miniature painting by local artist Rhoda Carr and a framed print by the artist Carol Patterson, were among many interesting items on the raffle table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most pleasing highlights of this evening is that it was a genuine \u2018village&#8217; event. It was supported by every age group in the community &#8211; from tiny-tots, teens and twenties to sixties, seventies and eighties and possibly nineties too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The atmosphere in the Church Hall was great,&nbsp;with music from around the world accompanied by loads of talking and laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friends meeting with friends while enjoying tasty food is most definitely a memorable recipe!<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/stmonans.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/201x\/dsc02632.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"200\" width=\"300\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/stmonans.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/201x\/dsc02632-300x200.jpg?resize=300%2C200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-458\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Food Fair was a family occasion &#8230;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>This year there were also lots of friends, family and visitors from outside St Monans too, so our culinary reputation must be spreading!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We raised a total of \u00a3929 on the night, <\/strong>which is \u00a3200 more than last year. The money raised from the IFF will help towards Sea Queen Day on Saturday 20<sup>th<\/sup> of June &#8211; A Date for your Diary!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sea Queen Committee would like to thank all the special people who gave up their time to prepare, cook and serve so much wonderful food.
