It will come as no surprise that Hogmanay will be a little quieter than usual this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, some people have wondered whether the fireworks at the harbour might still go ahead. Given that we are subject to Tier 4 restrictions, that would be very difficult. Those who have organised it in the past have asked us to pass on this message:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hogmanay Fireworks Cancelled<\/strong><\/p>

For many years now a small group of residents have had a fireworks display round the harbour at midnight. They have been delighted to share with all who attended, at times hundreds of people. Despite being outdoors the group do not want to encourage gathering and contact in these times. It was therefore thought best for all to cancel the display.
