The University of Glasgow\u2019s\u00a0Centre for Robert Burns Studies\u00a0is promoting a #VirtualBurnsNight<\/strong> – and we can all take part!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The social media event will take place on Burns Night, Monday 25 January. <\/p>

On that day, whatever you end up doing, please share a picture of your celebration with the hashtag #VirtualBurnsNight. This could be a photo of yourself, a photo of your haggis meal, of your whisky glass, of your kilt, of your Burns book, of your home, of your mug of tea \u2013 of whatever you think is appropriate.<\/p>

The preferred social media for sharing your picture is\u00a0Twitter. If you do not use Twitter but have a Facebook or Instagram\u00a0account, feel free to post there with the hashtag (making sure your post is\u00a0public\u00a0so that we and other participants can see it).<\/p>

If you are not on social media, please email us your photo(s) at\u00a0arts-burnssupper@glasgow.ac.uk<\/a>\u00a0and we will share it for you. If you are planning to celebrate Burns before or after the 25th<\/sup>, it is also fine.\u00a0Just send \/ share your picture whenever suits best.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Centre has also launched an Interactive World Map of Burns Suppers<\/strong>, featuring more than 2,500 suppers across 150 countries.\u00a0It can be accessed\u00a0here<\/strong><\/a>. And yes – last year’s St Monans Burns Supper is on the map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
