1 Braehead – Liz & Catherine Cairney

Mother and daughter have joined forces to bring natural skincare and beautiful ceramics to the festival. Liz from Greenloft Naturals uses Scottish wild Botanicals in her skincare range and her own blends of essential oils are offered in a variety of mediums to offer a true Aromatic experience. Using only natural elements is important to her and goes beyond creating vegan products that can often have artificial chemical colourants etc. Her daughter Catherine found her love of pottery when looking to explore her own creativity outside her then work in the TV creative industry. She loves the ever-evolving learning process and the element of play that clay brings. She loves experimenting with different forms, textures and glaze colour combinations, rarely making two pieces the same.

Born in Edinburgh in 1977 she studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, graduating in 2000, she then worked in commercial design for a number of years. Since becoming a full time artist Mary has exhibited widely and shows regularly with wonderful galleries in Scotland and England.

17 West ShoreLisa Farquhar

I grew up in St Monans, and being by the sea continues to inspire me—the space, the shifting light, the sense of fresh air. I try to capture that feeling.

This year I’ve included paintings inspired by a trip to the West Highlands and Islands. I mainly paint in acrylics and I like experiencing with different techniques.

I’m still early in my journey, and it’s a privilege to be part of this event.

2 East Street – Amy Hamson

Amy Hamson is a ceramic artist based in central Scotland, where she creates small-batch functional pottery from her garden studio.

Originally trained in Film, Amy’s career has spanned post-production, advertising and packaging design, then retrained as a paramedic working in London then Scotland. Creativity has remained a constant thread throughout her professional life. Although painting and drawing provided a creative outlet, it was a visit to PotFest in 2023 that rekindled a lifelong appreciation for ceramics and inspired her to begin making pottery herself.

Working primarily on the wheel, Amy creates handmade pieces that celebrate simplicity, texture, and the character of clay. Her work is influenced by her surroundings, particularly winter trips to the seaside and the ever-changing Scottish skies. She is drawn to creating objects that become part of daily rituals and family traditions.

2 East Street – Jane Cameron

Jane Cameron creates abstract landscapes and still lifes using acrylics and mixed media. Her work draws influence from close observation of light, weather, and subtle transformations within the landscape, as well as from listening to stories and audiobooks, which inform a synaesthetic approach to colour and composition. Her paintings focus on colour, atmosphere, and a sense of place.

She lives in Bridge of Allan, near the University of Stirling, where she was formerly Art Curator of the university’s Art Collection. She also spent many years working in interior design after graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee

9 Station Road – Pauline Patrick

Pauline is a contemporary still life and landscape painter. Her work explores the liminal spaces between realism and the abstract; the notion of something caught within the peripheral vision. She is strongly influenced by her time at the GSA, drawing on the experience to produce pieces imbued with colour and form. Many hours are spent searching for something that will spark the creative impulse. The setting of still life elements ensure that light direction and composition are carefully considered. The drafting and layering of colour can take weeks and sometimes months. It is a slow and methodical process. The final pieces are bright and vibrant.

5 Station Road – Donna Montador

Nook & Crafty – where the seaside comes to life!

Bright harbour houses, cheerful little boats, quirky seabirds and a splash of driftwood charm… every piece is handmade with love and inspired by our beautiful coast. From mini framed treasures to colourful statement art, there’s something to make you smile and bring a touch of the seaside home.

12 Midshore – Paul Graham

Paul Graham  (b. 1963) is a British-born contemporary painter whose work serves as a gentle reminder to slow down and find joy in the mundane. A self-taught artist, Paul’s journey into the world of fine art follows a highly successful multi-decade career as a professional photographer.

This background in photography remains the bedrock of his practice, granting him a “documentary eye” that he now translates onto canvas through the rich, buttery medium of oils.

After years of capturing the world through a lens, Paul pivoted to the easel to explore a more tactile and emotive form of storytelling. His transition was fueled by a desire to move beyond the literal capture of a moment and instead reinterpret the “whimsical and light side of life.” He often remarks that while a camera records what is there, a brush allows him to paint how a moment feels.

Working predominantly in oils, Paul embraces the slow drying time of the medium, allowing him to layer texture and light until his subjects glow with a sense of optimism. His pieces do not seek to provoke or challenge, but rather to comfort and delight—offering viewers a sanctuary of whimsy in an often hurried world.

Today, Paul paints from his home studio, continuing to document the world not as a critic, but as an enthusiast of the small, beautiful happenings that make up a life well-lived.
