Opening Service and Ceremony

To mark the 150th Anniversary of the Fishing Tragedy off the East Anglian coast in November 1875 when 21 fishermen from St Monans and 16 from Cellardyke lost their lives returning home.

11am – Commemorative Service
Braehead Evangelical Church, in the presence of the Provost of Fife and the Mayor of Kings Lynn

12 noon – Naming of the Fishermen
St Monans Harbour

12.30pm – Official Opening of the Memorial Garden Station Road, by the Earl and Countess of Crawford and Balcarres

1pm – Buffet Lunch
St Monans Parish Church Hall, Station Road
